- Bruce Schneier - As a security stalwart, I always appreciate his essays and technical aptitude for security best practices
- Jeff Atwood - The creator of StackOverflow doesn't post much on his blog anymore, but I've been reading it since high school and I like to emulate his style
- Jack Coates - Highly relevant and approachable day-to-day cybersecurity wisdom
- Alison Green - She's the reality check workplaces need
- Zack Whittaker - There's a lot of cybersecurity news, but the important stuff never slips through Zack's fingers
- Troy Hunt - I like how Troy discusses the technical and ethical issues he faces with haveibeenpwned
- Peter Adeney - I'm glad I found his site when I was young in my career. While he's less active, his advice is still largely helpful
- Scott Alexander - I like the approachable in-depth analysis of topics I would normally find too overwhelming to research myself
- Dynomight - Similar to Scott Alexander but with more whimsy
- John Scalzi - My favorite author
- Raymond Chen - One of Microsoft's greatest treasures
- Ashley Willis - Really insightful perspectives on the latest technology and working in tech

Stuff I've inspired with this site
One of the best parts about having your own site and writing stuff on it is that when people read it, sometimes they're inspired to do their own thing.
- I wrote about tracking my public IP changing, and Bruce did the same thing.
- I wrote about the best restaurants in Colorado Springs, and I published the code for it. John Scolaro repeated the experiment for Brisbane. Dare I say he did it even better!
